~ Chelle ~
“Vance James Mercer, you get back here right now!” I whisper-hissed at him. The kid was energy incarnate and slippery as all hell too. One moment, we were standing side-stage while VJ sported the killer little skull and bones headset his dad had gotten for him so he could come watch the concerts, and in the next he had wiggled free and was at a full-out run straight towards his daddy who was in the middle of a sold out arena show.
“Shit, shit, shit!” I yelled.
“Shit! Shit! Shit!” My son yelled out too, giggling as he did it. The little bugger knew better. He dodged past our security, Aaron, and made it to the drum kit as his dad sat there laughing while not missing a beat. When VJ got close enough to his daddy – his absolute hero – he told on me. “Mommy said shit, shit, shit.” The fantastic thing about that was Evan’s microphone was hot and it picked up every word our precious little monster said. The entire arena suddenly filled with a mix of laughter and “awws” being cooed out.
I just hung my head where I stood while Aaron patted me on the shoulder as he laughed at my expense too.
“I have to tell you, I enjoyed touring with the guys before, but now I fucking love my job!” He reached over and patted my very swollen belly – part of the reason VJ was able to wiggle away from me – and asked the dreaded question that had been lobbed my way the past few weeks by everyone. “How are you feeling, Momma?”
“Tired and defeated at the moment, Aaron,” I stated plainly as I pointed to my son who had been placed on his father’s lap while he continued to rock out on the drums. When the song was over Jer joked with the audience. “Give it a few years and little man there is gonna be giving his dad a run for his money on that kit.” The audience ate it up as Aaron went to retrieve VJ for me.
When he did my husband blew me a kiss and winked at me. Yeah, I was just as awed and in love with him today as I was when I thought he’d break my heart during our rocky start. We were golden these days though. We were also expecting our second child – Rosalee Davina Mercer – in just a few short weeks. Evan had been bound and determined to get his way, and swore from the beginning; from the moment I probably did conceive that he’d just given us a daughter. I’d laughed until I started throwing up a few weeks later for no good reason. My loving husband had some kind of magic about him. His plan had been for Rosalee to come into this world with an amazing big brother to care for her, and we’d have our sweet little angel girl to make our family complete. I made the point of saying our family would be complete. Evan disagreed with me and seems to think that at least two more children will make our family whole.
Honestly, he’d probably get his way. How could I deny the man? He had given me everything. He’d given me the family I’d always wanted with the bands, the kids, and the love I felt from him every day my life had truly been a Cinderella story. Granted, I’d fallen for the prince of the drum kit, but I’d take him over some stuffy royal any day. My man was the best of the best, and there wasn’t a soul alive who could tell me different.
“Mommy! Did you see me Drumz?”
“I saw you, VJ.”
“They loooved me, I’m a star wike Daddy.”
“You have an ego like your daddy too,” I suggested.
“Yup, I sure do.”
Aaron just stood and laughed at my son. “You better hope that sweet angel comes out more like you, Chelle. If you have another one of those,” he stated pointing at my son. “You are going to be one tired momma.”
“Ah, but Aaron, isn’t that what family is for? I’m pretty sure my big brother is overdue for some Uncle time.”
“Your big brother’s about to have his own hands full,” he reminded me of the news we’d received just before the show tonight.
“I can’t wait!”

I thought I could fall in love with an up and coming rock star until he betrayed me. The lying, cheating, scheming piece of crap bassist for my brother’s band destroyed my faith in men.
Funny how another musician saved me from humiliation, became my best friend during my internship with his band’s tour, and ended up winning my heart despite the fact that I had sworn to never go there again.
Too bad things couldn’t stay so simple. One jealous ex-girlfriend, one crazy infatuation later, and I became public enemy number one. Then I waited to see if he would remain my savior, or prove that I was right the first time around… You can’t trust a rocker. Why the hell had I done so twice?
He was the reason for the second chance, and my reason for everything that followed.

The Other Princess
Aces High MC – Charleston Book 1
Available Now!
I was eight years old when I found out I had a father. It was the same day I held my dead mother in my arms while praying her life wasn't really over.
I was dropped into the middle of a new family not long after that. My dad, his wife, and their two kids to be exact. My new brother was ten years old and my sister was five. It doesn't take a genius to figure out I wasn’t supposed to be there.
My family ended up bigger than that though. My dad was a member of the Aces High Motorcycle Club. From the very beginning I was ostracized because of who my mother had been. The daughters of club members were generally known as MC Princesses. My little sister was one. My title was a bit different, and proved that my mom's sins would always be held against me. I was The Other Princess.
My family, both by blood and MC ties, did wrong by me so I walked away from them. That was until he came home from the Army.
He tried to fix everything.
He tried to win an unattainable heart that had shut down years earlier.
I would know since it was my heart he was after.
He didn't realize it would take a miracle.
Secretly, I hoped I could still believe in miracles.
*Meant for adult readers, strong language, violence, and sexual situations.
Over 80K word, full length, stand-alone novel with an HEA.
Redemption Weather
Aces High MC – Cedar Falls Series #1
Available Now!
When I married Walker Smithson it was the happiest day of my life. My family was there, we had a bright future ahead of us, and the world was ours for the taking.
Then the storms started coming.
First, there was the one that took my family.
Then, there was the one that took my husband.
Moving to a new town, new state, and a new life was never on my agenda until I couldn’t take the ghosts, both living and dead, that haunted my every waking moment in the town I’d been born to, grown up and always thought I’d die in after living out my happily ever after.
I’d been wrong about my life before.
Wrong took me to Cedar Falls, West Virginia and left me on the doorstep of the same motorcycle club that had failed me before.
It took me to a place where my future was waiting for me.
If only the past would let go of us so that we could be happy.
If only tragedy and storms would stop following in my wake.
If only the weather w
ould turn, so my happy could commence. If, for once, wrong could prove to be absolutely right.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Aces High MC – Dakotas Book Two
Available Now!
I was sent to South Dakota with a tattoo artist, biker named Tango in order to keep me safe from whatever mess my brother had gotten himself into this time.
Tango was a stupid name for a tough biker who was supposed to be able to protect me. How was a man named after a dance supposed to do anything to keep me safe?
Stupid name. Sexy biker though.
Lucky for me, I had been dead wrong about pretty much everything.
Wrong about his name.
Wrong about his ability to take care of me.
I wasn’t wrong about how sexy he was though. My perpetually soaked panties were all the evidence anyone needed that Tango could dance all over my body any time, anywhere if only I was all that he wanted.
Unfortunately for me he seemed to be in a weird relationship with his buddies Whiskey, Fox, and their girl Amy. No way was I signing on to be the lettuce in that screwed up sexual sandwich.
Nope. Nope. Nope.
I might need protection from an entire MC, but I did not need to share my man. Ever.
Then again...
I’d been wrong about everything else so far.
Maybe I was wrong about this too.
Musical Inspiration
Sometimes I do these pages for books, and sometimes I don’t. I think it’s important with a book about musicians to actually point out musical influences for the story though so here goes…
Papa Roach – literally all their music, because they’re one of my favorite bands!
I also listen to the Swagger station on Spotify, because blues-rock is the best!
